Proverbs 3:3
Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
How do I establish my heart?
I write it on my heart.
I absorb what God loves and what God hates.
I spiritually create a standard that distinguishes my desires from God’s desires.
I’m able to compare and contrast - I think this should be done - but I know this is what God desires and is pleased by.
Proverbs 7:3
My son, keep my words
and treasure up my commandments with you;
2 keep my commandments and live;
keep my teaching as the apple of your eye;
3 bind them on your fingers;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
If I asked you about sports, or if I asked you about something in the industry you work in you might have such a recall that it would blow me away by your knowledge; but as a Christian do you have God’s word written on your heart?
Psalm 119:10-12
With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments!
11 I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
12 Blessed are you, O Lord;
teach me your statutes!
“He who began a good work in you, will carry it through…”
